Privacy and cookie policy

We handle your data with care. Here you can read which data we process through this website, why we do so and what your rights are.

Last updated on 5 November 2026. This website is still being built. When we add new features, such as online booking or a newsletter, we will update this policy.

Who we are

What data we process

Contact form. Your name, email address, subject and message. We only use them to answer your question.

Bookings. When you book through the website, your own email app opens with your request: name, phone number, email address, number of guests, date, time and an optional note. The website itself does not store this data. We only use your email to confirm and follow up on your booking. If you mention an allergy or dietary requirement, we only use it to serve you safely. By mentioning it, you give your explicit consent for this.

Visitor statistics. Only if you accept performance and analytics cookies does Squarespace record how the website is used, such as pages visited, device type and browser. We only see this data as totals.

Technical data. To display the website, our hosting partner and the services that provide fonts and scripts process your IP address and browser details.

Why and on what basis

We handle your question or booking because you ask us to (performance of a contract, or steps prior to one). We process allergy information on the basis of your explicit consent. We only collect statistics with your consent. The technical operation and security of the website are our legitimate interest.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only work with parties needed to run the website: Squarespace (hosting, forms and statistics), Google Fonts and Fontshare (fonts) and jsDelivr and esm.sh (scripts). Squarespace may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR. We only link to Instagram: Instagram receives data only when you click the link yourself.

How long we keep data

We keep messages and booking emails as long as needed to help you, and for no more than two years. Analytics cookies expire after two years at most.

Cookies

On your first visit, you choose which cookies you allow. You can change your choice at any time with the 'Cookies' button at the bottom of the page.

Necessary (always on). crumb secures forms (until you close your browser). ss_performancecookiesAllowed and ss_marketingcookiesAllowed remember your cookie choice (30 days). Our own scripts also store a few technical settings in your browser, such as whether the intro animation has already been shown. These are not trackers.

Performance and analytics (only with consent). ss_cvr, ss_cid and ss_cpvisit recognise returning visitors (two years). ss_cvt and ss_cvisit keep track of a visit (30 minutes).

Advertising. We currently do not use these cookies.

Your rights

You can always access your data, have it corrected or have it deleted. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to it, or request your data in a common format. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Send your request to hello@nemorestaurant.be. We reply within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes

We update this policy when the website or the way we work changes. The date at the top shows when this last happened.
